Stress Relief

I live in a stressful environment, working sales that rely on a fluctuating economy and managing a household with a husband, three elementary-aged children, and multiple pets. Rarely is there time or a place for me to be alone and the constant chatter and demands on my time leaves me no time for myself. My work rides home with me in my shoulders and back and my mind races, finding work and home solutions, deep into the night. Something had to be done but wasn’t sure what. My original preconception of yoga was sitting cross legged, meditating and being able to bend into pretzel shapes. That preconception and my life changed when I walked into the Henderson Center on Windmill, just minutes from home. My immediate need was basic then – a place to get away and “find myself” again.I got that – and so much more! I learned that Dahn Yoga was excercise for my body, mind and soul, something I need daily! I I love all of the classes and the more I do, the more I grow! Brain Wave Vibration is a remarkable technique that quiets my ever-talking mind and clears my thoughts. It allows peace to enter and a calm to settle over me that lets me get deeper into finding my true self. It is simple enough that I do it at work to help me relieve stress and to refocus. I taught it to my children so they can focus more on their homework and handle the stresses of their day. I showed my husband so that he can shake the pressures of the day and sleep better at night. Brain Wave Vibration is such a simple, yet effective method that I highly recommend it to everyone!

Happiness from Within

I would like to publicly thank Jeff at the Reseda Center for his love, compassion and genuine concern for his students. He has provided me with such a gift, and many tools to heal myself and others. By far the 21 Day Brain Wave Vibration Class has been a success for me for the following reasons: 1) I’m calmer because I become one with the Universe as I chant, “Nae Pa Jin Dong Chun ji Kiun.” 2) I have less need to worry if I do Brain Wave Vibration practice. 3) I see more beneficial ways to help myself through positive thinking knowing that I will experience some lows and highs on the emotional plane. 4) I’m happier and thankful for my life. 5) I now have confirmed the purpose of my life. 6) I notice a difference when I don’t practice. The most important part about the training is that I truly have what is known in Sanskrit as a Sangha, a sacred place where I can share my deepest concerns and really speak of the Higher Power. I am in a safe environment where I can truly see that self healing really stems (brainstem) from within, not from external forces. I am free to surrender and move as I like to release emotions. If I am to heal society in some way, this practice will give me the tools, confidence, and abilities to do just that.

Dahn Yoga Appreciation

My name is Muriyd Muhammad, I joined Dahn-yoga Center two weeks ago. Before I decided to join I was having difficulties with concentration and focusing on clearing my mind of all thoughts. Also every now and then I would experience lower back pain that would keep me up at night. One day I was given a Dahn-yoga pamphlet, so I read the information and was immediately became interested and decided to give it a try. I had a one-on-one session with a Lauren, a very nice lady. Lauren instructed me on the toe-tapping technique and it seemed to alleviate my lower-back pain. Lauren also informed me of other Dahn-Jon techniques for clearing the mind and focusing within myself and not on the outside. Along with the numerous classes that Dahn-yoga provides, I can truly say the past two weeks have been a blessing. I feel more energetic, I have more control of my breathing, my lower-back pain had subsided, and I can better clear my mind now and meditate without some many thoughts racing through my mind. And just to think this was accomplished with only two weeks joining Dahn-yoga center. I can’t wait to see what the future brings interims of self-healing and healing of others.
