When I came to the Dahn Yoga Center 2 years ago, I didn’t know that the continual thoughts in my head could stop. I was stressed, having difficulty sleeping, and often impatient. Brain Wave Vibration is healing me! My life is more joyful. I usually sleep well at night. When I’m teaching, I feel calm and confident. There are actually times when my head doesn’t feel crammed full of thoughts! Such Light! Such Joy!

dahncenter Midway through my 21 day training
January 7th, 2010
dahncenter You may have seen my post several days ago on my first day of a special form of 21-day Brain Wave Vibration training. Today is day 11 and I wanted to update you on my progress. The training is to bow 300 times each day for 21 days. I have learned a lot about myself so far. For example, when I began this training I didn’t fully comprehend the commitment and the importance of the promise I made to myself to keep training each day. On day 5 I felt tired and only did 160 bows, but I didn’t feel good about it. When I discussed this with the head instructor at my center they encouraged me to make up for the missed bows. This meant that I needed to do 440 bows the following day. It felt like a huge wall was placed in front of me. I wondered if I had enough courage and commitment in me to continue the training. I am proud to report that I did complete the 440 bows on day 6 and I have continued with the 300 bows each day since. Now on day 11 the bowing meditation is easier, my lower body is getting strong, and I am gaining self confidence that will be useful in all areas of my life.

Letting go of emotional pain
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter Usually when I do Brain Wave Vibration I feel a lot of energy moving in my body. It starts from my head and works its way down. The one time I felt a lot more was just a few days ago when I took the Brain Management Consultant course with Regional Director Kim. I had shaking through my torso that felt like it was out of my control. It was a vibration that I didn’t feel like I brought on myself. And I had a very clear image of my grandmother on my right and my mother on my left. My grandmother recently passed away and I had been having trouble letting go of her. I also had a lifetime of anger towards my mother. Then I had a very clear image of my grandmother slowly floating away. I was watching her and I was trying to hang on. Eventually I wasn’t holding on anymore. Something made me then turn to my left and next thing I know my mother was right next to me. I don’t know when she got there. I automatically opened my arms to her as if I was accepting her and forgiving her for all the anger I’ve had for many years. And it’s probably just a start but I’ll take that and continue to do Brain Wave Vibration.

Virtually Pain Free After Serious Neck Disk Surgery
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter Ten years ago, I was injured while helping my coworkers lift a woman who had a seizure. I ended up having neck disk surgery and a disk pin was placed in my neck. This was never comfortable, but then last year things really got bad. I suddenly started having pain all over my body, as though my entire nervous system were affected.
Eventually it got so bad that I could not function at work, and I was hospitalized for a while. I tried many drugs, including cortisone, but nothing helped much. Fortunately, the first day away from work, I happened to pass a Dahn Yoga Center. I had taken tai chi before and loved it, so I was interested in giving it a try. Because I was in such bad shape, I decided to take private healing sessions, which focused on Brain Wave Vibration as a healing method.
I experienced the benefits of Brain Wave Vibration right away. In the early stages, I felt like something was shifting in my body. I felt like my body really wanted to get better, and somehow the vibrations were helping unleash something from deep inside. With each session, I became stronger and stronger.
Now I am virtually pain free for the first time in a long time, and I am able to walk and enjoy my life as normal. Whenever I feel pain, all I have to do is take ten minutes to feel the rhythm of my own body. It has shifted my whole outlook on the experience of stress and pain in my body and has given me a real sense of control over these things. I think of Brain Wave Vibration as my “balancer.” Even other people have noticed how much calmer and centered I am. All in all, Brain Wave Vibration has been an awesome experience.

Body and Mind Healing Faster With Brian Wave Vibration
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter I was introduced to Brain Wave Vibration at the Cottonwood Dahn Yoga Center in Albuquerque, NM. After practicing for only two months, Brain Wave Vibration has become a powerful tool used to rid my body of stress and negativity while helping me focus on healing my back. The recovery time of my back injury decreased while my body and brain increased in strength. Now focusing on other personal goals is helping me to achieve personal success through Brain Wave Vibration. I could not be happier! My family loves to see my big smiling face after each class.

A sense of inner peace
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter I began Brain Wave Vibration four days ago and it’s been an incredible experience. Initially, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was trying to accomplish, but by day three I got a glimpse of what I believe I’m striving for. Rather than feeling like I’m just rattling my brains around, I was able to go deeper and for a time, my awareness wasn’t confined to my head. I felt like I was floating in space without walls or limitations. I’m not able to hold onto this feeling for very long, but I’m getting there. Since beginning Brain Wave Vibration, my digestion in particular has improved, and I feel calmer and more serene.

It Doesn’t Require a Change of Clothes, Sweating, or a Class
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter I have been practicing Dahn Yoga for over 5 years and have had a quantum leap in improvement of the experience of my life. I have used the principles from the Dahn Yoga Basics book in my work with psychotherapy patients and have seen them improve dramatically in their ability to grow through the issues they face.
Now with the new book, Brain Wave Vibration, I have a new tool in my work, and also in my personal life.
I felt this was a clear and easily read explanation of the principles underlying the benefits of vibrational exercises. Ilchi Lee used examples from many cultures that illustrate the universality of the awareness of these principles.
In my own life I am happy to have a simple, easy technique that doesn’t require a change of clothes, sweating, or a class to practice. It can be used at any time that you need the resetting of the brain. I use it when I feel myself getting emotionally caught up in a situation, or when I am beginning a project or interaction that needs a clear mind. I feel much calmer, less reactive and I am maintaining more balance.
In my work, this technique will be easy for my clients to use and add to the other Dahn exercises I have assigned them, without feeling overwhelmed.
The book is a must read for any practitioner! It will keep you from taking yourself too seriously. It is so simple, anyone can get the benefits.

From Losing Weight to Healing Acid Reflux, Brain Wave Vibration Does It All
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter I’ve been doing BWV for 10 months and I can say, it works! I no longer have to take medication for Acid Reflux or pain relievers for constant headaches. I don’t grind my teeth any more. I have lost 20 lbs without even trying. My friends and family noticed how calm I have become. The great thing is you can do it any time you are feeling out of sorts and within minutes you feel better. Having the right rhythmic music helps with the practice, so I recommend getting the Brain Wave Vibration music CD. I have shared this practice with my family and friends and they have their own stories to tell on how they have started healing themselves. WOW!

Managing High blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes with Brain Wave Vibration
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter I have been practicing Dahn Yoga for about three years. I had noticed a sign for a center in Las Vegas where my family and I lived. I was looking for a way to lose weight and get some exercise since I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, which were controlled through medication prescribed by my doctor. I was taking six different medications daily!
My true feelings were that I knew I could help my body get healthier without so much medication. While attending the classes three days a week I have lost 46 pounds that will stay off because they were lost the right way. My blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol are all in excellent control and I only take half a pill a day. I have learned to relax and breathe properly so that I sleep much better and am able to control my emotions in stressful situations.
I would urge anyone feeling like they would like to help themselves become healthier and happier to try Dahn and its Brain Wave Vibration-based program. The power is waiting inside you–come and meet your true self.

Giving the gift of love to myself
January 6th, 2010
dahncenter My daughter and I joined Dahn Yoga in November 2006. We wanted to learn yoga and get fit. Little did we know we received more than exercise!
I was so busy loving and caring for family and friends, I forgot to love and care for myself. I was so emotional in the beginning, crying in class and was in pain doing the moves. It just takes time and telling myself, “ICAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT!” The homework helps and going to class three times a week have amde me stronger emotionally, more flexible, and I have a lot of energy.
The Brain Wave Vibration CD and book has helped me. I work it in with my homework. Ten minutes everyday makes for a happy day. This has trained me to live in the moment and appreciate the little things in life. Listening to the birds sing, hearing the sounds of the outdoors, enjoying the warmth of the sunshine.
What a fantastic gift I’ve given myself joining Dahn Yoga. Now I take the time to care for and love myself.
How wonderful this experience has been to share this with my daughter. We share what we have learned in Dahn Yoga with our family and friends.
Thank you Mi Young, my Head Instructor, for making this a part of my lfie, you are such an inspiration.
