I have been attending Dahn Yoga for 7 months. I believe I was divinely guided here. Physically my body is stronger and more flexible. My joints are much more mobile. I had suffered from chronic pain for 20 years, limiting many of my favorite activities. It has been a rewarding experience coming here to the center. The Brain Wave Vibration is the most marvelous tool for changing your life, your body, your mind and uplifting your spirit. My life has opened up into a whole new world of possibilities. I LOVE DAHN YOGA- BRAIN WAVE VIBRATION.

Ten years ago, I was injured while helping my coworkers lift a woman who had a seizure. I ended up having neck disk surgery and a disk pin was placed in my neck. This was never comfortable, but then last year things really got bad. I suddenly started having pain all over my body, as though my entire nervous system were affected.

Eventually it got so bad that I could not function at work, and I was hospitalized for a while. I tried many drugs, including cortisone, but nothing helped much. Fortunately, the first day away from work, I happened to pass a Dahn Yoga Center. I had taken tai chi before and loved it, so I was interested in giving it a try. Because I was in such bad shape, I decided to take private healing sessions, which focused on Brain Wave Vibration as a healing method.

I experienced the benefits of Brain Wave Vibration right away. In the early stages, I felt like something was shifting in my body. I felt like my body really wanted to get better, and somehow the vibrations were helping unleash something from deep inside. With each session, I became stronger and stronger.

Now I am virtually pain free for the first time in a long time, and I am able to walk and enjoy my life as normal. Whenever I feel pain, all I have to do is take ten minutes to feel the rhythm of my own body. It has shifted my whole outlook on the experience of stress and pain in my body and has given me a real sense of control over these things. I think of Brain Wave Vibration as my “balancer.” Even other people have noticed how much calmer and centered I am. All in all, Brain Wave Vibration has been an awesome experience.

I was introduced to Brain Wave Vibration at the Cottonwood Dahn Yoga Center in Albuquerque, NM. After practicing for only two months, Brain Wave Vibration has become a powerful tool used to rid my body of stress and negativity while helping me focus on healing my back. The recovery time of my back injury decreased while my body and brain increased in strength. Now focusing on other personal goals is helping me to achieve personal success through Brain Wave Vibration. I could not be happier! My family loves to see my big smiling face after each class.

I recently completed the PBM (Power Brain Method) training for the second time. I was amazed at how much of the workshop I didn’t “get” the first time I took it. This time I expereienced the ‘MuAh’ (emptiness/nothing) very deeply, and could feel through my whole body and mind that I am nothing, and how incredibly wonderful and actually natural that feeling is.
In the process, and to get to that point, I released a lot of “junk” out of my brain using many of the methods we learned in the PBM; for the first time in 3.5 years, I am no longer holding onto something that happened between me and my husband. I have been filled with anger, and righteous indignation, and having a lot of attitudes about what he should not have done. And also, while I was releasing those emotions, I found a lot in there that I was holding towards the masters, and released them too. It was some similar emotions, they should have done some things differently than what they did, and some righteous indignation about that. And during this releasing, I started to feel my body and noticed some tensions that I have had for a long long time, and realized that it was some fear that “they” were going to make me do something I didn’t want to do. and as I released that fear, these tensions released, and my body became flexible in ways it has never been flexible for 50 years. It was quite amazing. I could feel the tension in my body release as I released the fear, and then I could stretch in ways I have never been able to stretch. It is again, another awakening about how powerful the tension in my mind is.

And, then I could feel that I am a courageous person, really feel that with my whole body. This is a very new experience for me, I have been afraid to be strong, and now, I have a new way to move through that fear. I keep focusing on “I am a courageous person”, and I can feel that courage in my body and, it’s almost like a little dance, like the dance that the boxers do in the ring. I can feel that in my body, and I feel so happy that I have become a courageous person. and then I move forward, with new actions and new approaches to things.

I am very very appreciative of the opportunity to review the PBM. I was really wanting to do it, I resisted a lot going until the last minute, and I am so happy I overcame my resistance and went there.

I recommend the PBM training, or reviewing it to anyone who is having any sense that they want to move forward in a new way.

just joined Dahn yoga in January of 2009. It took one year of research through yoga magazines, books, the Internet and talking to others on the benefits of yoga before I made my decision to join.

Years ago as a child, I was introduced to the concept of yoga by my father. I always felt in my heart that I could use this art to better my life. However, I never knew how. Initially I started doing yoga at home from pictures I cut out of yoga magazines.
Through yoga movements, breathing and poses, I realized that there is so much more to me than meet the eyes. I guess I always knew this but I could never touch it and feel it with my heart.
I began to see that with coaching and direction, I could apply the moves and use them in a way that can help me get in touch with my inner self.

A couple of years ago I went to the lowest level of human existence, which is the feeling of shame and guilt. I was able to pull out of that but I needed more help and guidance. I felt lost.

Joining Dahn Yoga has opened my inner eyes to a part of me I always knew excited but could not fully touch or feel.

I found out that I have been on the “right” path. I realized that I must continue to use my heart as my guide. I found that it has always been my heart that saved me from depression, and anxiety. It has been my heart that has always been there for me. I just never appreciated it the way I do now.

I realized that we are not ever alone.

Doing the shim sung workshop was an amazing experience. I went into it with a goal and came out with so much more than I ever thought possible.

For me it has been confirmed through these classes, the workshops and the guidance of the masters that searching for who I am is an ongoing process, my purpose in life is to continue staying close to my heart and to myself so that I can continue to reach out to others.

I know that all of us human beings on this planet are connected and we all have amazing, giving hearts that needs to be respected, loved and nurtured on daily basis.
I know now that by keeping peace in my heart, I can reach out to so many people. We all have a beautiful inner self. We can use that to help ourselves. Knowing that we are all connected and a part of a much bigger picture, we can lessen the pressures of daily life.

To live life fully, one must embrace the good and the bad and to welcome all that there is.
For without sorrow, there is no joy, without sadness, no happiness and without hate, no love. It is when we embrace it all and laugh all our laughter and cry all of our tears that we know we are one with ourselves and with others. It is only then that we can say we have lived a full life no matter how short or how long the length of our physical existence.
Yoga keeps reminding me on daily basis that I am the master of my life and my body and that every day I have a choice to make my life better or………..

I guess what I am trying to say is that all the knowledge that we need is within us. We just have to listen to our heart and make a choice.

“What arises from your heart can only land on another heart.”"

When I first came, my primary problem was lower back pain. A lot of it was through stress and just needed to get a little exercise and a little stretch. I think that if you’re starting to feel stiff and lack of balance and just feel fatigued and stressed, it’s a good way to relieve all of those symptoms. The atmosphere is fun, so it’s getting balanced and little of flexibility and strength, while you’re in a social atmosphere. It’s fun and I think everyone should do it.

I have MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and about 3 1/2 years ago at one six-month check up, my neurologist said that maybe doing Yoga would help my balance and flexibility? The very next day there was a brochure for Dahn Yoga on my porch. I call it divine intervention.

I went for the ‘Introductory Session’ and decided to join for three months. I have never been much of an exercise person, and wasn’t sure I could stick with it, but found that I loved it. I started to see a difference in my balance and the way I felt within the first couple of months, and my doctor saw a difference when I had my first check up, and every check up since. I always try to go to class at least three times a week, and more, if I can. I have been practicing Dahn Yoga for 3 1/2 years now, and my neurologist told me at my last check up that I will not be needing the shots for my MS, if I keep up my Yoga.

Recently I celebrated my 59th birthday. A year ago, after numerous doctors’ visits, an MRI, and multiple neurological tests, I was diagnosed with Meniere’s Disease (vertigo like symptoms). I am a preschool teacher of children with special needs. Teaching requires me to be on my feet and move around alot. The vertigo episodes happened sporadically and often lasted 2-4 hours sometimes with vomiting as well. My work habits include a bit of “perfectionism–self talk– and perseverance to get the job done well. I enjoy trying new teaching methods.

After 10 sessions of balance therapy, the therapist suggested that I try yoga for meditation, calming affect, and agility (strength and balance). I found Dahn Yoga online and took a risk to try it out at the Mill Creek Center. Purposely I chose a center near my school so I could dash out at the last minute and get to the center just before class starts. Also I did not want to take yoga in my neighborhood community and exercise with people I know.

The master was very patient with me, reminding me to follow my body’s condition, take my time and focus on my dahn jon. This was all new to me: brain wave vibration, warm-ups, intestinal exercises, chun ji kun, energy ball and so on. After two weeks I found myself looking at the clock as soon as my students were on the bus, and planning out what needed to be done before leaving on time for yoga. It stopped occurring to me to need to work. After a month, it stopped occurring to me to finish everything so I could rush out the door. My mind started shifting and telling me “it is okay to leave, work will be here in the morning.” I started to realize that I was “hooked” and enjoyed the pleasures that Dahn Yoga brings to my well being as a person and commune to others.

Several of the positions are very challenging for me but that doesn’t keep me from trying and having fun getting to stretch my physical limits beyond work, D-Y is relaxing for me and a healthy experience for my whole body. My attitude toward living in the present is becoming more positive and appreciatiave of all the abundance given to me by my maker—whoever s/he is. Waiting in line either in the car, store, or restaurant does not bother me because I have the power to choose to accept things as they are. I can do intestinal excersises, practice breathing, and use other D-Y methods of avoiding stress. Occasionally the vertigo symptoms surface and I have to deal with them. The yoga motivates me to become more centered and focus on my whole well being now, not worry about what happens next.

In June, I took out a Gold membership. In August I took a risk and flew to the Mago Retreat Center for more training. Ah!!!! What an experience to meet Ilchi Lee himself and other inspiring trainers. A place that I will return to in the future for sure.

Thanks Dahn Yoga for helping me process change well.
