I joined Dahn Yoga in September, shortly after my grown daughter and her teenage son came to live with me. They moved here from Spokane to get a new start. I had lived alone for about 10 years and needless to say, it was quite a shock to my system to have them living in my home indefinitely. So I decided to join the center to have some place to be while we adjusted to our new living arrangement and also to take off some much needed weight. I really enjoyed this experience and was attending the classes at least 6 times a week. Within 3 weeks I went to the Shim Sung workshop. What a revelation!!! This program was more than I bargained for!!! I truly connected with myself for the first time in my life.How powerful!!! My life has taken a radical shift for the better. I’ve become easier to live with and recently graduated Dahn Healer School. Initially I didn’t even know what healer school was and when I first went there I wondered, “what am I here for?” I’ve discovered my healing capabilities for not only myself but for my family and friends. One of my visions for the future is to start a Dahn Yoga program in the Boys and Girls club in Tacoma.
