came to Dahn training with a 3 year diagnosis of Diabetes Type 2 non insulin dependent, 10-12 year diagnosis of high blood pressure and a recent diagnosis of elevated cholesterol. I have been taking medication to lower my blood pressure for years. After participating in this program I have noticed my evening and morning blood sugars are 10-20 points lower prior to the start of the program. I sleep better, rest better and my digestion has improved over the course of this program. My ability to gain from a better way of eating has given me new insight into my condition.
I recently lost my job, I was feeling stuck, emotional—crying, angry or feeling defeated or worthless.
I needed to look for a new job but had trouble being excited about the prospect of branching off into another direction. Despite the fact I didn’t like what I was doing prior to losing my job. At least it gave me something to focus my energy on. I found myself without a routine and not set goals. I needed to decide on a new direction.
What I identified as the cause of my issues through the program: I understood my life on a surface level, but had no understanding of what drove my thinking and bad habits. I know how to diet, exercise and network, but I did not have a true relationship with myself. I had low self-esteem, I was lonely, lacked direction. I felt sick, out of touch with my body and I was overthinking and second guessing every decision I made.
What solution I found through the program: The pain in my body is an indication that energy is blocked or tying to open. I looked closely at my past, the information I carry in my brain, my habits and my thoughts. I found some things I did not accept, learned to accept what I have, not to regret my past or fear my future. I feel I can be more proactice in taking care of my body and creating my life instead of drifting along with whatever happens in my day.
It is well worth the experience of taking the action to look at your life closely without fear, taking the blinders off frees you to really come to an understanding of who you really are, what your purpose really is and then taking action to achieve that purpose. Most importantly it teaches you to be honest and to evaluate the effectiveness of your actions. This is the best way to heal your body and your life—yes it requires effort but you are more than worth it.
I came looking to find myself—I truly enjoy knowing me. If I can bring that to others, I will complete my life purpose.
